A Thought:

” A paramecium in a pond, a shark in the ocean, an erythrocyte in the human blood stream, an apple tree in the orchard- all are different in composition from their surrounding, and, once they have reached maturity, all maintain a constant composition in the face of constantly changing surroundings”

  1. Doesn’t everything, maintain a constant composition in the face of constantly changing surroundings? And oh, is it a good thing? Maintaining a constant composition…?

    • Hmmm..

Everything does remain constant, but once its reached a certain state. As long as you’re still growing, or getting your foothold.. i guess you’re moldable. I dont know if thats a good thing. In one way, you cannot change anymore and in another interpretation circumstances wont change you. Its probably a measure of how much more (or less) we have to go until we find whats constant.

Its a quote from my Biochemistry text.. and they state it as a fact of nature :P.

  2. Very interesting biochemistry text i must say… hehe
